SAAC Sponsors Drug Take Back in New Britain |
|
SAAC and the City of New Britain Youth and Family Services Department hosted a Drug Take Back at the New Britain Senior Center on August 27. The event brought in nearly 5,000 medications, including nearly 800 potentially abuseable narcotics.
SAAC has been working to make our communities safer by taking drugs out of circulation, and this was the seventh in a series of successful Take Backs. The events not only educate the community about the proper disposal of prescription and over-the-counter medications, but remove unused medications that could end up diverted for illegal use.
